Capiz Shell Serving Bowl

A serving bowl with incredibly detailed edges to lighten up your most delicious pastries or to chill your oysters on a bed of ice. The capiz shells are encased inside a food-grade sealant, allowing the pearlescent glow to shine through both on the inside and outside.

Capiz shells, also known as Windowpane Oysters, are native to the Philippines. They are edible, but valued more for their pearlescent shells and small pearls. They acquired the name from its long history dating as far back to 1860s being described in a dictionary.

This particular item was brought back from Piquant’s first international sourcing trip. Curated in Naples, Italy.
